Recap: ELB at the Automotive Suppliers’ Day BW 2026 in Esslingen

Strong connections, fresh perspectives, great conversations: that’s what we take away from this year’s Automotive Suppliers’ Day BW (Zulieferertag Automobilwirtschaft BW) in Esslingen. Around 400 experts from the supplier industry came to the 28th edition of the event. They discussed how Baden-Württemberg can secure its future as an automotive location amid international competition.
The programme covered trade conflicts, cost pressure and faster development and production cycles. Another topic was the opportunities offered by cooperative business models. For the first time, the event also put a spotlight on further training.
At the accompanying match-making fair, ELB had its own booth. We showcased ULTRACERAMIC® sample parts made from aluminium and magnesium alloys, including our first visible collaboration with STIHL. We talked with many visitors about lightweight engineering and functional surfaces. This let us make new contacts and further strengthen our regional network.
