Double Win for CAMM at the German Innovation Award 2025

We’re proud to share that ELB CERANOD® has received two German Innovation Awards in 2025!
Our project CAMM – Ceramic Additive Manufactured Magnesium was honored in two categories:
“Material & Surface" and “Transformative Solutions".
CAMM represents a major step in advancing sustainable lightweight engineering. Magnesium – the lightest structural metal – has long held promise, but its limitations in corrosion and wear resistance have hindered its broader application.
Our solution: ULTRACERAMIC®, a cutting-edge plasma-ceramic surface that protects even complex 3D-printed magnesium parts.
Key results:
• Up to 1,000× higher wear resistance
• Corrosion nearly eliminated
• Ready for high-performance use in aerospace, mobility, and industrial applications
This project was realized in close collaboration with the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH) and supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) – thank you for your trust and partnership!
